Let's Celebrate Life-Change!

Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized as an example for us to follow. Through baptism, we as Christians identify with Christ’s death and burial as we are submerged under water, and we identify with His resurrection and new life as we rise out of the water. Water baptism is a public declaration of three important things:

“I am a follower of Jesus Christ.”
“Those who accepted his message were baptized.” —Acts 2:41

“I am beginning a changed life in Christ.”
“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” —Romans 6:4

“I am part of a new family.”
“So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” —Galatians 3:26–27

If you’re interested in being baptized—or simply want to learn more—we invite you to join us for a brief informational meeting immediately after service on Sunday, March 29th. This will be a time to ask questions, talk through what baptism means, and understand next steps.

Our next baptism will be held on April 12th, at 5 pm!
